Not sure about everyone else but my car is way too light for the 500 LB springs that come with the Control Coilovers.

500lbs springs!!!!!. Damm that's madness!
150lb worked best for me but I was at 2600lbs with a 50/50 distribution.
Lupe with your car being very light with IRS you'll have to try a couple of different combinations before you get it right.

Here is the vid of my scale when mine was weighed last winter, is mine 50/50 too? This is without me in it.

Looking at this, the 150 LB spring might be a better choice like Crispeed said. They have a nice little charts toward the bottom.

thanks for the 411. I have ground controls on my first gen that came off and auto X car but luckily he gave me a box full of springs with all the spring rates collered around one of the coils I have my car gutted except for 6 pt cage 4 gal. fuel cell. and drivers seat. Im assuming the cars weight is between 2-2500 lbs. but lets say me just wanting to take my car to get it weighed I could go to a truck weigh in or is the point of getting the car weighed to have your numbers for your 4 corners. the car is a street car for me w/ a 12 a ported motor and a shot of spray. anyways I looked, and I have 100 and 175 lb. springs which Im thinking of installing since i have the coilovers but have not installed them YET. Thanks for the insight and link to the other thread Luke, hope to hear others opinion.

Looks like the 150's might just be the ones you need.

Current springs are 7 inches. New springs will be 8 inches.

Rear springs should be as long as possible. Too bad you can't get some 12'' in there.

Yeah, the springs/shock is mounted on top of the tubes so I can't fit a tall spring on there

but if you run a longer spring, wont you need the damper piston to also have a increased length?

(in the process of crafting together my suspension)

whats the difference between a light (150lbs) long pre loaded spring, and a heavier non preloaded spring?

150lbs 12" is almost a stock fc rear spring, 2.5" diameter too...
