Question To those running a driveshaft loop.

im getting a drive shaft loop kit from summit racing, but where did you mount yours? Granted this is an FC but i want to get an idea of where i should connect everything for optiumum saftey.

6 inches from the driveshaft yoke.

do you have any pictures of how yours is mounted? just for good measure (visual learner)

This is the Driveshaft Loop that I'm running. I had to drill a few extra mounting holes in the loop for clearance purposes.

I am running the same loop. I didnt have to drill extra holes. I can probably take pics fromt the top and the bottom tonight if you need them.

I wasn't happy with the clearance between the top of the loop and the driveshaft. This is why I wanted to drill a few extra adjusting holes.

that would be greatly appreciated.

buddy of mine had the driveshaft snap and come up through the floor board dargging last week so im putting on the "priority" list.

Being an LS1 doesnt effect how it mounts......its the same with a rotary...glad I tried to help someone.

Being a different motor/transmission, The mounting is basically the same. The loop just might need to be mounted further up and back depending on how long the transmission is.

My loop is mounted around 2.5 inches further back than his.

No, my original post asked about that bar that seemed to be replacing your PPF. Then I relized you went LS1 and thus no PPF.

Nevermind....it was a scatter shield that was so hard to find.....not a driveshaft loop.

i think you can make one of ballistic blankets summit sells work. at least, im bringing my transmission there and something is going to be able to work.
