Take off before the light turns green.

1 Put accelerator to floor.
2 Wait till light turns green.
3 Slide foot off clutch.

Works every time.

hold gas pedal to the floor till the RPM needle hit the little red markings on the tach . You need to hold it steady for about 20-30 second, or however long it takes for the light to turn green. Don't worry about the temperature gauge, just ignore it.. Also ignore any steam that may be coming from under the hood, it's all normal for a rotary.

Once that light turn green, let your foot off the clutch and she will go like a bat out of hell.. At no time do you take your foot off the gas pedal, just keep that right foot planted and don't worry about stepping on the clutch to change gear. The mazda tranny was built for clutchless shifting at high RPM.

Good luck... If that don't work, then try Jay's method above
