Strong rear

What does everyone do to keep there rear housing from breaking? I haven't yet, but worried cause 2 guys I know broke theirs. How the hell does cars like RX7.com's and other 9 sec FDs keep from breaking? If I were to replace it what is the ideal upgrade?
I'm currently running upgraded gears, KAAZ diff, Upgraded bushings, and upgraded axles. Is there any casing or bracket out there?

yeh stock

Once you upgrade the axles and LSD, it makes it so strong that it makes the rear casing very weak.

There is a rear craddle that Ari, Dan, Peter farrell, Ray wilson, Adam, have made that keeps the diff from breaking in half. Each is a little different in design, but do pretty much the same thing, which is to distribute all the shock and power the full length of the diff case and not just where the PPF hooks to the nose of the case and essentually lifts the whole rear instead of it lifting just the nose and breaking the case in half...this is when the pinion is pushing back and up when launching or wheel hop, I know, I have broken mine half as well,,,but no more now.

Blitzed- It sounds like you are running one of these custom diff braces. Can you post pics please? I have an idea what it is going to look like; however a pic would be great.

I'm going to be sending 750rwtq+ thru my FD diff on DOT slicks. Setup is 3:90 gears, Mazda Comp clutches in an S4 T2 LSD, 300M axles and I want to know about your brace as well as others.

I have 2 complete back up spare diffs with 3:90's and S4 T2 LSD installed already expecting some breakage as the 8" ring gear can only handle so much. I don't think the 300M axles will break.... simply the case or the gears themselves.

If the case holds up. the axle stubs will break.

Doubt the axle stubs will break with the 300M chromoly, the next weak link would be the CV cups themselves.

Forgot that the stub axles could shear also. Lovely.

Well after 2 strikes if I blow up these setups.... I'm going Viper Dana 44 pumpkin with custom 300M axles.

The knuckles attaching the axle to the diff will crack. Had this happen too. Not really much you can do about. Good thing is its a cheap part.
