Skinnies on OEM spare rim

What tire are people using to convert the original spare wheel (FD) into skinnies for the strip? I've noticed that 16" tires are normally used for skinnies.

I ended up buying 500/525-16 Excelsior tires from Coker tire. They were $99/each and they shipped them together so the shipping was only about $20. These are a little cheaper than the Firestone tires. I haven't run them yet....hopefully this Friday night.
Since I bought them, I heard some people are using VW tires. I don't know the price of those. The Excelsior tires from Coker Tire Company were the cheapest I could find shipped.
