But after bacons basses pass, maybe I will just part it all and by a camper like the others did.

Monsterbox 08-22-14 10:04 AM

hell yea, can't wait to see that thing on the dyno in person!

sk8world 08-23-14 01:18 AM

Believe it or not I pulled the motor back apart a few weeks ago because I realized I left sealant off around one dowel section. I just couldn't stand thinking off a small oil leak. Good thing I did as I found the new front bearing got debri in there and scoured the bearing pretty good. All is back together as of tonight.

Hey Bobby! How are things?

I want to make some passes before the end of the season. I keep making changes to the build so its more waiting on parts to come in right now.

dropped motor in today. Fab work next weekend scheduled.

krazy4 09-15-14 07:53 PM

Looks sweet!

Jose93RX7 09-16-14 09:23 AM

massive turbo! I look at the engine bay pictures and cant help but think that the turbo should be mounted in the center of the engine bay with the motor hanging off to the side, lol.. its odd to see a turbo larger than the engine, looks beast though!!! can't wait for some track times!
good job on this build bro!

G/L with the build. I finally gave up on the Liberty trans and installed a T56. I really love it and could kick myself for waiting so long. I'm commuting to Alaska for work every 2 weeks so life around the house has changed a bit putting stress on car time. Its all good though. Looking forward to you putting down some times. I want to go to the track with my new trans. It should help. See ya, buddy!

NOICE! Alcohol fed this time around?

Samito Built 09-30-14 08:15 AM

How much power are you trying to make since your going mechanical pump!

silverTRD 09-30-14 08:57 AM

What are your initial impressions of the Rotary Works Throttle body? I have the RE Intake setup as well and was thinking of going that route as well.

sk8world 09-30-14 09:26 AM

I went with rw throttle because it was bolt on 90mm. Quality seems good for China made.

Yes, methonal this time around. Power goals...... Don't want to shoot myself in the foot. The components are going to be there for big numbers so I hope all goes well and the boost can get cranked up. My old motor made over 700 on gas, no semi, no studs or balancing and on a 74mm.

C. Ludwig 10-01-14 03:26 AM

For anyone interested in a single throttle, FFE has their throttle body adapter that allows the use of a 90mm GM throttle body. The adapter is $140 and junk yard pull throttle bodies are cheap. It wouldn't be a big deal to bore the adapter to 102mm either and use one of the aftermarket throttles from BBK or the like.

charge pipe welded up and pick of E&J fuel pump bracket with Rons pump mounted. May help someone out down the road as I couldnt find a clear pick of eith mounted on a REW

silverTRD 10-05-14 12:35 PM

That's the Rotary Works FD throttle body correct? Not the 20B/Cosmo one? I noticed the linkage is on the front like the FD and not on the back of the Throttle body. Did you have to make an adapter to cover the hole on the bottom of the UIM? Thanks, any info is really appreciated.

sk8world 10-05-14 02:36 PM

Filled with filler . I do have a spacer I had made to use with rew tb to Cosmo intake. Just not using that now

silverTRD 10-05-14 03:45 PM

What setup are you going with now? forgive me if you mentioned it?

more info on the filler and spacer if you don't mind please.
