TX Shopping list help

I have decided to go to a single set up and I am new to the rotary. I will start by saying that I would like to make a reliable 500rwhp using methanol as auxillary inj. Other than that what size and type of turbo/manifold/waste gate or waste gates should I use. The motor has a mild street port and 3mm seals. What is the best fuel system/ignition and ecu? Please help me out. I obviously want to make 500 hp and spool as fast as turboly possible. Thanks for any help.

I know this shopping list idea is pretty subjective, but I was hoping that a few rotary experts here would have opinoins that aligned.

Please please don't take this the wrong way. You really have to search on the single turbo forum or start going through a few threads. You are going to get 1000 opinions on things and you will be even more confused. Here's my advice.

First start with your budget. That will limit your choices obviously. Some turbos go for $600 and some go for $1500.

Second, start with your tuner, ask the person who will be tuning your car for their opinion.

Once you have the basics setup, you can go from there.

I see you are in Texas, you have a few rotary guys down there and tuners. Call Ari @ RP, you also have BDC down there too.

^exactly what he said

500 is no big deal these days. but you can spend twice the money by being misinformed. start by reading other peoples build threads and see what there results are. this will give you a general idea on what to do. if your still confused, speak to a pro in your area.

Everytime that I search for threads I end up getting all kinds of threads totally unrelated to the topic that I am searching for. Guess I got a little discouraged with looking like that for info. I will keep searching.

AnthonyNYC- is right. look up guys here in the forum who are making 500+hp and ask them question and ask their opinion on what you should do.

Just ask AnthonyNYC how many questions i have asked him

OK, start here. I searched "500" in the subject and these threads came up. A few guys wanted the same thing you did and started threads on them.... Look at the dates and don't read threads that are too old.

This search was just "turbo" in the subject. (both searches were only in the single turbo forum).

Go to the thread above of the fastest guys in the top 20 section and look at what turbos they are running and start checking how much they actually cost.

Good luck.

Anthony
