I don't have the RxParts intake, but if Roan is willing to lend me his for a little Pan Ams "show & tell" then I'll definately bring it.
We are setting up a GRS hospitality area next to Paradise racing, so I guess you can can see it there or at AnthonyNYC trailer?

As for cost, I honestly don't think it's that bad.. Stop comparing it to a JW unit, it's wayyy different. That's like comparing a Xcessive LIM to a stock unit and bitching about the price. A stock LIM is $50 usd and a Xcessive is $500, but they are 2 very different units. They both will support 800hp but one will do it much more efficently.

Never really had any problems with my JW. The casting was a little off but by the time i ported it out it was all gone I did surface it though because i was having some issues with sealing but it's good now to 30 psi. I like the RxParts intake but i am not going to blow $500 to replace an intake that is working fine. However if it did have provisions for extra injectors in the secondary runners i would scoop one up. I really don't like the way i did mine.

What sort of gasket were you using? Paper or Metal?

as for price, i see it as a you get what you pay for thing. a benz and a hyundai both have 4 doors, so why is one more expensive?

i have listed the reasons why I KNOW it's a better unit, and why i bought one. in my opinion it more than justifies the cost. and i don't see why you are saying its twice the price?? $200 for JW 150 semi perif mod that i find questionable, then you have a total of $350 vs $500. with all the other deficiencies you're left with after the $350 investment, i think the RxParts is the way to go.

It was a metal one. It had more to do with the machine work on the rotor housings than it did the intake.

I like the 7th bolt hole on the RxParts intake. I am considering giving one of these babys a try! You want to buy my old intake Eric?

i completely understand you not wanting to spend more $$ after you have already paid to have your JW fixed and modified. that makes sense, but for those who have not already bought a JW i think this is a better alternativeand as for the extra injector holes, thats a great idea, i'll pass it on.

question, what did you do about the missing middle plate bolt?

and on a side note. I've SEEN ppl throw thier modified semi perif JW intakes in the garbage after seeing and buying the semi perif Rxparts lower. (true story)

just an FYI, the rxparts intake comes with a pre cut composite gasket that is oil, alcohol, and gasoline resistant. in addition to the new instalation hardware that is also included.

You got me confused, as I never said that it was expensive, hell I haven't it mentioned the RXparts intake, thil this post

All I am saying is:
1 - I never had an issue with the JW, and its been on the car since almost two years ago
2 - You should take a few of them to the pan ams, because I am pretty sure that you will sell them on the spot

Damn, i wish they were going to have these at summer slam. I have this cash just burning a hole in my pocket. Oh and also, do they sell the gaskets by themselves? I was looking for one.

Certainly looks different.. The intake got me hooked, so I think I'll get one

I'm more of a E&J guy after seeing what their parts have done on the PR race cars. Actually, as soon as Edgar gets back to the shop I'll be placing my order

I am too. BTW, do you know anyone running their electric waterpump? I'm thinking about selling my electric waterpump setup for E&J's version.

man, RotaryBoyz, you're making this really hard for me to stick to my plan for a custom intake system. i must say these parts look very impressive and i'm really thinking of an RxParts intake setup.
