Saruwatari and Ibarra
well, i only spoke to him once, so i don't think i'd go that far. he was definitely more stand-offish than Vinny though. i just figured it was because he didn't know me from Adam. on the other hand, i met Vinny several times, but i still remember the first time and he was just cool with me from day one - sorta like that cousin you don't see or talk to very often, but you guys click and wanna jump someone everytime you do meet up.
either way, he still has my respect and no one can take his accomplishments from him. love him or hate him, he still ran one of the most phenomenal rotaries in history and i'm glad i was able to witness some of it.i thought i read/heard that he has a shop now where he's focusing on modifying and tuning exotics - Ferraris and such.

Adam is deffinately the quickest on this side of the world for an IRS RX-7. I still have a set of brand new axles for a FD that were made by the same person who did them for him. One set have many low 9 sec runs with 1.3's 60ft's.

Ahhh... I doubt if that's Chicago as the video indicates. The announcer is speaking spanish the entire time and the track looks totally unfamiliar. Probably some track in PR.
It's strange since I also have a set of OLD 300M axles that also seem to work the best. They are about 7 or 8 years old and I got them from the driveshaft shop. These were one of the first sets they ever made. They are lasting so I'm not complaining.

RE: best time
Well the only descent quater mile time came with the car bogging and short shifting at 6,500 rpms with a 1.5 60 foot, 9.05@145 with a 5.85@124 on the eight and a boti race in bakersfield, the week before I ran nhra in pomona and ran in the 5.50s in the eight at 98-100mph letting off each and every time and rolled to 3 9.90s runs those came with 1.27 60 foots, I never trusted that car always use to get away from me as soon as i hit third gear....I figured If i would stayed in it from the pomona times I could of ran at least 5.30s in the eight witch would make what et's in the quater? hopefully the guys from chicago had better luck than i did.....
5.5 in 1/8 isnt bad for a full metal body, this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SpGbG0cjZk&feature=user, i think he is runing on alcohol
hehe, have you ever spoken to Vinny? just the way he speaks would make anyone scared
... Speaking of Vinny, whats the deal with the 3 Vanishing point 350z's that was built for Ten and the Rubio's? Thats alot of paper to shell out only to have them sitting idle in the Performance motorsports warehouse...

cool. i'll have to go check him out when i get back home. i saw him in an interview a while back and he went all family now ... so i thought that was the death certificate of his racing career, but maybe there's hope yet.
