Rotary's Vs Other Imports

I was just wondering how other imports compare to rotary's for the fastest drag times. I searched but couldn't find anything in the same category. Like what is the fastest supra/skyline ?

Abel Ibarra Worlds Fastest Rotary 6.79 s @ 209.95 mph

World's 2nd fastest rotary Jose 'Siguel' Torres 6.81 ET @ 202 mph

On a light enough car you could run 6s with a 20B. That's what Abel Ibarra does, dunno about Jose Torres.

Major League's engine isn't a 20B per say. It's a custom built 3 rotor engine. Here is some info on his motor setup http://www.kiwi-re.com/ and here's a list of fastests rotaries http://ausrotary.dntinternet.com/for...ic.php?t=46604 I love rotaries but still the top dogs out there are the piston powered cars http://www.nhrasportcompact.com/2006/stats/records.html Except in the modified class Angel Rodriguez 1982 Starlet e.t. of 7.32 this car is powered by a 13b.

I know there is still the old saying "no replacement for displacement" . . . so how are we doing against the 4 cylinders?

They are not actually that light. They weigh more than the cars in the modified class at 2200 to 2300lbs.

From the looks of it it's going to happen sooner than we think.
They're making the power is just a matter of applying it and some good luck.

The are both RX8s because the last RX7 sold in the USA was over 13 years ago. Doesn't make sense to promote a body shape that is not for sale anymore.

Quiles Turbo is not being tuned by siguel!. One of the owners of the car (Fabian Quiles ) is in charge of the tunning, while Maiky performance is in charge of engine development!!

http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/

here are two sites that claim this

when i was there watching he only made one clean run and it was sub 7 second..... he broke the clutch and took a headgasket out on the first run when he left the line at 70psi of boost and on the other run the car was holding the front up down the track and he had to get off of it cuz it was going to the wall

Definately sounded sweet when he staged compared to the ugly sound of all the big blocks..... raised the hair on the back of my neck

Hi to all !!
Crispeed and kabuski- I know that Fabian is not in charge of all the tunning little hint (CFT). But i said that to clarify that siguel has nothing to do with the Quiles brothers RX7.
