SC Rotary works titanium exhaust sleeve?

Was wondering if any of you are using these sleeves or have used them in the past.
Do they help keep your exhaust temps down?

Dont waste your money on that garbage! It will do nothing for EGTs. Rotaries make alot of heat regardless. Especially if they are turbo charged.

Well am also questioning because I've seen some sleeves on high horse power engines that have just overheated so much that they collapsed almost closed and cause the engine to loose power. I really though more people would have an input on the subject. I mean if It's Rotary Works period that sales junk, then is there anyone else that offers a better sleeve.

If exhaust sleeves are melting or falling apart, then you have a bigger issue than the physical material that they are being made from. Now, that's not to say that there isn't a better metal out there, just that you need to fix the cause not the effect of said sleeve melting.

Am not saying that my sleeves are melting am just saying that I have seen them melt and colapse, am getting ready to start a build and don't want this happening to me. Only wanted to know if they are good or if anyone has used them and or if they have had this happened to them.

Like 6-7 yrs ago when Abel did his last NHRA event at Atco, he had a similar problem with his 20b. I remembered him speaking to one of the guys at Tial to have them make a new exhaust sleeve out of Inconel. From what he was saying, it seems as though hot gases are being trapped at the inner edge of the factory sleeves, causing them to bend. I got all that info while watching them crate up the broken motor to ship it off behind an unknown pickup truck Maybe he can chime in on what problems/solutions he encountered back then.

^ I'm not sure if that "be nice" comment was meant for me, but I don't recall saying anything bad in my post. It was funny at the time bcuz I was eavesdropping on his convo concerning the sleeves.

I was reading a thread earlier this year about a know builder that sold an engine that failed, the person filed a lawsuit against them and ended up getting some money back. They said it was caused by the sleeves that melted. If anyone remembers this or read it please attach the thread. It had some good info on it

I've built some custom sleeves for myself and a few other engines. Was thinking of designing some that could be marketed eventually...

How are they working for you so far?
Have you take some engines apart since you used your sleeves?

Question to ask yourself here is Why would people even think to make sleeves if the stock ones are good or problem free?

I made a set of inconel sleeves for my car. I didn't like the factory rapid transition so i made a set that ended up the same size as the header tubing. They were also a little larger in the port area and fit tighter against the rotor housing so less gasses would get behind it.

That is what I was thinking, but I can see how enlarging the sleeves could help when it comes to street porting the housings.

I have mines removed on my bridge port.

Iconel is an awesome metal, can hold a **** load of heat and work super awesome. I would love to make a lite weight turbo mani with that stuff. But I have been making and using Schedule 40..**** is heavy but gets the job done...

I go away for a bit and this happens all the time....whats up with that.I been working hard and i dont have time to be here typing away all day nor live on the forum.

I helped create the exhaust sleeves for my race engines at first but decided to make them available to everyone.I had to make a mold and if you really pay attention they are made smooth without the large holes for smog. The Sleeves are to replace the bulky sleeves on NA rotor housing and 3 Rotor Engines housings.

As may some people may not know talking to (noobs), it takes a few used broken turbo Rotor housings to take the stock sleeves and use them on NA or 3 rotor engines for better upgrade. Some people like them some dont run them at all. Some people may not have broken engines with turbo sleeve laying around so i had to make it easy for everyone to just have them ready to bolt on.

The bending of the sleeves is many people may port their exhaust way low the sleeve level so the exhaust sleeve is expose to all the hot gases and you get a failure of parts.Even if you have the toughest metal in the world you will have a
failed exhuast flow as the hot gasses trap under the edge of the sleeve...

The sleeves i sell are replicas of the stock FD sleeve but without the large holes and made of high grade titanium.

Thank you for your input on your product and my last post as you can read above never mentions your name nor company. The thread was about another builder.

Bumping thread. Has anyone used these yet with success? I just started a 20b build so need to change the sleeves. Wondering if I should buy these or find some old housings. I plan to use the engine for circuit racing so endurance is a must.
