Road racing cage for drags

Do you guys thing a high end road racing style cage would be ok for drag racing too?
Im picking up an FC with some crazy WRC/road racing cage.
I was wondering if it would work well for a drag cage too?

Probably not. For a given vehicle weight NHRA usually uses a larger diameter tube than the road racing sanctioning bodies. Your best bet is to measure the cage and then compare it to the rule book.

not only the size of the tubing, but also thickness, and where the bars are placed for different impact resistance.
