PPort build question
I am going to start putting my Pport back together. I have a question for you gentlemen. I have two rotating assemblys, a FD and a 9.4:1 FC N/A. If I use the FD, can the FD flywheel be spun to 11k (or so, I am guesstimating at the pport power band)? Or will I be needing to be an aftermarket flywheel for either? If I HAVE to buy a flywheel, then I am thinking of running the FC rotors for the added compression.
I was thinking the stock FD flywheel would be better for drag racing because the added weight, rather than a lightened flywheel. I tubbed the car and it currently has some HUGE tires.
Any other advice anyone feels like throwing in is certainly appreciated.

+1, use the higher compression rotors since your not going turbo and either go with the stock flywheel or a lightened steel. Any flywheel will work at high rpm, you just need to balance the rotating assy like 680 mentioned. Rene turns over 12,000 with his stock flywheel. Oh and make sure you bolt a nice and heavy scattershield on- the weight sucks but the insurance is priceless. Nice to see you around Doc, keep it comin.
