Just so everyone knows what went down. I originally reponded to people, Big Daddy mainly that were, by my definition calling me out and stating misinformation mainly based on a cartoon I made "as a joke". Most of you saw it.
Anyhow, I went on and said something along the lines of why would he or any supra be so concerned about me who runs high 9's when they run 7's on a stock tranny! I said if our trannys are weak so I addressed it by putting something in that would not break. Then I said "go whine to your momma". Where Im from thats not exactly fighting words, but I guess Im still an ignorant white boy cause I got a phone call stating otherwise. So, to do the right thing, I just deleted my whole post, thinking at that point it would be squashed. Mind you, my post was only up for a couple hrs at most. Thats when AWDMike went nuts on me. I have since appoligized to Big Daddy and explained this to awdMike too. Hopefully this is over with and we can just race.

Big Daddy called me knowing Ernie was my friend. Big Daddy told me how he felt about the post and I called Ernie. This was very early in the morning. Big Daddy stated that he supported Ernie and was one of the guys that voted that the tranny be allowed in the class. Ernie deleted the post. I called Big Daddy back and he wrote on there "lets go racing" and that was pretty much the end of it.

With these new rules there is a bunch of stuff going on behind the scenes. NSCRA has been around for one year. Jason has the IMstar series. John Brown and Jason decided to combine both series and maybe down the line have a final in Florida. With the new rules things changed a lot of the guys that supported the NSCRA for the past year in Florida. A lot of them were bumped out of classes when no nitrous was allowed in classes. Also, AWD cars now have to run drag radials.

Most of the debates took place on Honda-tech about the rules etc and stirred a lot of controversy. The Florida racers felt they supported the NSCRA and now the rules have been changed against them. Jason Miller and John Brown are trying to standardize the rules so everyone has a place to race and hopefully other tracks follow suit. In the long run no one would have to change turbos etc to race in the NE or the SE.

The NSCRA did not have index classes but just created 2 index classes, the 10.5 and the 11.5 With index racing there are very little rules. You just run the index and do not break out. It's basically a heads up bracket race. This season is probably going to be trying on all the racers (the ones that actually race) but in the long run, hopefully it will all be worth it!!!!

I'll miss the first but not the last, I made the last one 2009 and plan on going for 2010 too! Speaking to Enzo and Ernie it looks like everyone may try to trailer down for this event.

^ Sounds good.

The InsaneRotaries.com crew will be at Salinas for the PR Vs USA event in a few weeks. We are waiting to see how the first NSCRA event goes, then decide if it'll be worth it to take a big trailer full of T-shirts, DVDs & Parts to PBIR for a few events. Maybe we'll do 3 PB events and most of the NE events.

I know the MIR World Finals will be bigger this year with a few low 7 second rotaries that's planning to attend.

I like the sound of this... Now that I think about it, the InsaneRotaries.com sticker will look great on the side of Enzo's car in PB, especially when he takes the title away from Time Machines :-). I gotta have a chat with the boss to see if he'll will to sponsor one of our local boys for the trip to FL

The NSCRA True-street class is shaping up to be good... Tonight Mike @ AWD reeled off a 9.33 @146 with his Crispeed tuned white evo on slicks. That was on his first run, so Im sure it will go quicker soon. Slap on a set of DOT's and it will be game on for the 3rd gen guys *wink wink*

The NE and SE NSCRA are separate. There's no incentive really for the guys in the NE to travel down and vice versa.

But if you mean Domingo's FD in Orlando, I would love to see that too!!! I wonder how that would play out since Cris would be tuning both cars.

Well I guess if things go well in Florida, some of those guys might go up to MD. It shouldn't be an issue because right now Crispeed is tuning about 10+ street cars that run in the NSCRA, but it will be nice to see Domingo's car out there. Tomorrow we might see another 7 second Crispeed tuned Supra (SFT) if things go according to plan.

lol, I know you get the best updates so update this thread with results. I checked all the forums and aside from a few posts on the supra forum, things have been very quiet for the first NSCRA event. Last year there was a ton of hoopla surrounding the first event. Let's see what happens today.
