Here is an edited version of the crash. It clearly shows what went wrong that day

http://www.worldsfastestcompacts.com...3b9d5ee1648908

http://worldsfastestcompacts.com is similar to Youtube, with all the lastest video's etc. Just use the search funtion to find any video from the GRS-Motorsports collection.

Was that a bump in the track or when the shut let go did that cause the bounce?

Glad hes ok that could have been worse. It also shows how well those cars are built!

I have another unedited video from further down (loco cam) which shows the car sliding on the patch of grass. After the grass there's what looks like a return road for the right lane, so the car slid off the grass and into the paved return road. The reason it got airborn was after it slid pass the narrow return entrance, the both right wheels hit the culvert of the return entrance and it cause the car to go airborn in a flip.

I see what your saying now i was talking about the move the car made when the chute came out and then broke loose!
Man that car was coming down the track fast!

When the chute was deployed, the right rear tire came off the ground then the car went right. Just before the chute broke off, both rear tires were 10-12" off the ground.. Actually at one point, 3 tires was off the ground

i'll get some still shots to further explain what happened..

What if the car had 2 chutes?? Would the outcome be better or worst??

it looks like he would have saved it if he didn't hit the grass with the tires and would have kept the car straight to stop with the brakes, they have carbon brakes so just a little pressure would lock up the tires no matter what.

Why did the chute break off in the first place? Wear and tear? Those chutes sure can handle alot more mph than that. Also, after the chute deployed the rear end started bouncing real badly. What caused that? Looks like he might have been able to save it if he just kept going straight and eased the brakes instead of off the the right?

I can also order all the ingredients to make a damn good pizza, but that doesn't mean i can assemble them into something edible.

I have looked long and hard but UPS doesn't deliver skills

Move to the east coast you bastard

But like I said, you can have yourself the same setup as all of those heavy hitters.

Call Edwin Loquito killer for a motor, then call Mike Turbo for a turbo then once you're ready, call Oso for a tune

Or forget all that **** and call Allen from Texas, the white Puerto Rican

I dont see much secret in the set up, there is only so many things you can do, more so the turbo, manifold combination...and tuning will also pull a rabbit out the hat too.

You're kidding right? Infinite variability is available when only taking the shortblock into account. Put a turbo, tune, and manifold on top of that(which is all you would see). But you might be surprised what you can tell about the inside from the outside. Port size, location, runner length, turbo specs, ignition setup. Wow it goes on. Plus it makes them look badass! Like they got something to hide!

I was looking at the pics and the ghost flames they put on the front are badass. Sort of what "El Yankee" RX8 has. Can't wait to see it running again.
