Opinions seeked for clutch....

Hi all, thanks for taking a moment to read this.

As my post says, I'm lookin for opinions on a good clutch to start off with in drag racing for an 88 T2. It's being installed into an 87 GXL body, but the entire drivetrain and motor are 88 T2. I've come across the likes of Clutchmaster and Centerforce having a 6-puck, dual fritcion, unsprung single disc for $310-$380, stating a clamping force of over 200-400% above stock. I'm not using this car on the street anymore, except maybe on a sunday to hit a gas pump.

I know there's a dozen other companies out there, so I figured instead of wasting money when i don't need to, I'd go to the guys who have experienced both good and bad results from different companies. I'm on a tight budget, and this is my first drag car. I know you can never get it right the first time, because there's always something better, but I'd like to get as close as possible.

Any help and advice would be appreciated!

Thanks much! -Pedro

with little to no breakage. at that time i was making 480-540 rwhp hope that helps
