nice thread.. the "Ortega Racing" R100 is from the ortega family.. legendary in the world of rotaries back in the late 70's and 80's I think one of the ortega brothers teaches at mech tech institute..

 

and the "torpedo" mazda miata originally was sporting a 12A all motor that ran 10.80 back in the early 90's later they made it 3 rotor..

 

toyota starlet called "He Man" belong to Pepe Heman a hell of a good driver.. car was running a 3tc 1.8 toyota engine.. back in the late 80's early 90's.. Datsun called "Yuco" use to belong to my brother Abel.. running a 13B bridgeport on nitrous back in the 90's ran 9.7@136mph he later sold it to Yuco

 

Rx7 second gen full chassis sporting a 4 cil. piston engine was called. captain tweet, later sold to Marquez and called "Chapo" and a 13B was installed. to this day is still called chapo and runs a 13B

 

diablo EL TORPEDO brings back memories i got my nhra competition licence in this car , after the conversion we put the motor in my starlet called back then THE KILLER GIRL came to california for an event sporting TORPEDOS OLD 12A MOTOR , from their on i sold the starlet to my cousin joined the service and now she is called ZAGAZ !!!!!!!!! thanks for the great memories btw one of the original motors is in my brothers street car in fl the other one is in my garage

this is my old datsun 1200... it was my test horse . i broke 11's 10's nitrous only with a stock turbo 2 tranny and my best was 10.66 before i went turbo and sold the car . i miss my little smurf .

still around. the guy who bought it , made the car into a street car . i sold it for $2500 roller with a turbo 2 tranny, 9inch, gauges etc .cheap !!

This car had a lot of history in Florida in the early 90's.
It was originaly built by William aka 'Columbia' aka the original 'Hard Target' builder/tuner/driver at the time.
It was powered by a 3TC that ran 12.0's on motor and 10.70's on the bottle.
The car was only campained for a very short time by Columbia and was sold to 'Switiche' where it was transformed to rotary power.
With a 13B BP motor Switchie got 10.70's out of it All Motor.
The car was then transfomed into a full chassis race car. It was powered by a 13B PP with a G-force transmission. It ran high 9's all motor and if I'm not mistaken 9.20/30's on the bottle.
Unfortunately the car was totaled at an event here at Moroso.

^^^ Nice post, I was watching those same races last night on GRS. Here's my little contribution.

The most popular car back in the days at Pan America. Rotary guys like me out numbered by piston heads there talking about Sakura's 52 P.S.I!




This was at last 07 Pan American. Whats the story with this twin turbo set up? Did they run it? Do they plan too? Or are they just chillin now making EMS's and have this as a show piece?
