Thread restored from server hell.

As a kind reminder though, please make sure this thread does not try and sell anything. Selling by non forum vendors will be addressed pretty quick.

How convenient. Thank you kind Mod.

We should all try to make sure that these.....mistakes..... don't happen too often, there's lots of valuable information to be lost.

I don't think anyone was, but I didn't want to read all 16 pages and by chance if the thread didn't get moved to an obscure section of the board by accident, maybe it was because someone thought there was advertising or selling in it (of course then it should have gone to the hidden vendor/ potential vendor violation section if there was - but that is another issue).

By keeping sales out of it, we will never have to worry about someone moving it for that issue and instead can keep it here and technically related.

Of course it still doesn't stop the software glitch of if a mod selects this thread then moves to another section, and doesn't de-select this thread before moving other threads... well, they all go/move... but I am working on that.

Never lost... just sometimes mis-placed.

Actually it would have been much simpler and saved a lot of headaches and ill will if someone had stepped up and instead of bitching and ranting, actually told one of the admins or even one of the moderators for this section about the thread missing. Things get fixed a lot faster when someone actually tells someone there is a problem. The PM system here is great for that. Ranting and bitching and not contacting a mod or admin almost never gets things fixed.

I posted in the other thread that is now missing. Edgar is in P.R. for personal business. I will call him on Monday and let him know the thread is back up if he doesnt know already, he knew it was removed because I asked what happened to it the first time.

He was supposed to be doing some testing on a road race/track car over the last couple weeks but I havent spoken with him. He actually sent his wife into his shop on Monday to wait for my call so she could send me the ALS seals I had been waiting on, rare you find someone anymore willing to earn your business. Edgar is a great guy and I am sure he will update when he has solid concrete evidence.

To those of you who were banned for bitching...

You all owe Icemark an apology.
Icemark did not move the thread to classifieds or violations.

In fact, Icemark brought it BACK - specifically after another moderator
was looking for it yesterday.

He was nice enough to go on a Search and Rescue for a thread that someone else accidently moved.

He was not even aware of it's existance.

I know this thread has a lot of importance, a lot of Research and Development,
and you guys took very personally that the thread was missing.

Unfortunately you took it out on the one guy who helped you out.

Most of you have never been warned or banned before.
Make nice, and apologize to him publicly, and I am sure those bans can be reduced significantly for you first time offenders.

Your tuner stood up for himself and he got Banned... Why are we even talking about this? Thread was found, Mark apologised, Cris & Ito got reinstated and I got my infraction removed... Lets move on

Well, it was on page 49, not page 25...

I didn't know you guys had apologized? I didn't really see it
there. I guess you did it via PM's.

First of all, it's my 'Tuna'. Keep insulting his proper name and I will Ban you for it...
2nd of all, how am I supposed to guess that there was an apology via PM's or otherwise, when there isn't
an reference to it in this very thread? That's like me telling you I have the Saturday's winning lotto numbers to give you...
'Somewhere' in the forum.

That R-100 i was voted one of the ugliest cars in P.R. because of the log fin thing attached to the front bumper. If you look closely you can see it under the guy's tennis shoes. To break the light beams I guess. Still a badass car!

He has run a 1.08 60ft so chassis wise he is good to go.

This will be a good test to verify where the Right balance is when it comes to rotating mass VS inertia VS HP/Torque ...

Does Enertia end at the flywheel or the end of the driveline?.. (for drag racing)
Is a lighter rotating assembly complimentary to HP/torque or non-beneficial?

There is only one way to find out = 31x14 Good years..

billet rotor

I just want to take a minute and thank the staff at Rx7club for bring in the link back and also to thank all of you for sticking with us. thank you

For the latest on our rotors, Last month we completed our first batch of rotors. We also added the Rx8 outer ring for the use of E85 and methanol.

Like you all know, we have customer in Puerto Rico that is testing our rotors and we are happy to say that we were able to duplicate the result and the performance in a different application.

We should have more new to come in the next few days.

thank you
Edgar

What are some of the advantages of these rotors over stock? How much lighter and are they stronger? (less prone to denting?) And last where and how much? Thanks,
Ernie
