New Plate Technology

So as R&D continues on the billet rotors, what's going on with the plates? They have already been talked about and I'm pretty sure they're under testing on some lucky car out there so my questions are: Are there any "spy shots" of the new plates? specs? Are they aluminum also? Why did they start with the front when the rears are the ones that crack all the time? Also, I read on the website that there will be a front plate "core return" What if mines are ported? Does that ruin my "Core" Basically if the plate is ported does it make it unusable for what you guys want it for? Thank you for all the great work you guys are doing to bring the rotary to the next level...Keep it up!

on high boost probably 40 to 55 lbs of boost the front plate is the one that brake that's why they are doing the front plate, i have seen some nasty broken front plate.

Yes i know about the racing beat ones and I do agree they are way too expensive...BTW thanks Noel for letting me know about the issues with the front plate I wasn't aware of that but now I'm curious...Does that only happen on engine that are mounted from the front cover ('85 style) or is it happening on ones mounted (to the chassis that is) from the rear plate like '93? if it is happenning on '93 type then could you expand on why this is? Also I'm not trying to get off-topic here, I still would like for Crispeed or eastcoast to come on here and explain a lil more about what it is they're doing just like they did with the billet rotors and maybe even post some pics? Thanks again guys!

if you stay under 40lbs you can avoid plate cracking with a good mixture of course.
from 40-50 its a bit harder but it can still be done..
You need pitires in place with 60+ orifices...

50lbs and above are "in my opinion" not necessary since a good engine at 40lbs can see 800-900hp and can barely get it to the ground why would you run 50lbs causing all sorts of tires spin, shake etc...
