Looking at the passes, the car looks slow...in a good way. Straight down the chute with no apparent surprises for the driver. Cannot believe it's that dialed in, basically right out of the box! Big thumbs up to all involved and can't wait to see where this thing is headed!

i dont thimk for next week because the car is heading to Puerto Rico for a huge event on Thanksgiving weekend plus the weather is not like Maryland, but i think for next year that car is going to be running on the 220+ mph a new records, and if they install any Billet side plates is going to fly..........

Amazing work, imagine the impact of having the title of fastest 1/4 mile sport compact going to a rotary?
We've seen more records broken this year than I can ever remember, these are exciting times. I hope this encourages the rest of the big players to push further. Congratulations to team New Gen, and everyone involved.
Anyone have a breakdown of the run? I wonder how far off they are from Titan in the 1/8th...

I was standing about 10ft away when this pass took place. On the starting line, it was sick being there. You could feel the tension, half the guys there were with the american car. Great great pass.
I spoke to a friend of the owner, he mentioned that this car was built and tuned but the not so famous names. He also mentioned that the car is worked on by a few different people that all came together.
One of the names mentioned was Wilmer? I should have paid more attention but the story behind this car is pretty impressive.

As for the engine, most of the people in Maryland saw that the car was running with stock Mazda plates. Supposedly they have another engine already done with the exotic XXX parts in it. But since this engine has been running so good and has been reliable, i guess they are in no rush for testing the exotic one. !!!!

Maiky and Moncho performance are in charge of the development and building of the engines foe the car. Maiky was the engine builder of the infamous Red Starlet that ran 7:06@193mph. Moncho is the new kid on the block with several cars running incredibly good with his engines.
Wilbert performance is in charge of tuning. This guy is as of now the one pushing the envelope as far as rotary tuning. He's the type of guy that just wants to make ur machine go fast without concerning on who is the mechanic, the in charge of suspension etc.. . In this year he had made a least 7 different cars re-write there personal best and has made them run better than they were before. The guy is class act and know his stuff.
In terms of suspension and chassis adjustments, this is the work of the crew at PMS racecars (Erick and Chucky). They are a chassis building shop and they certainly know the stuff. They were in charge of the fastest Pro Mod in Puerto Rico a few years back (Estrada Racing).
The one with the task os setting the clutch is none other than Papito Ramsammy. He comes from a family of v-8 tuners and that was his speciality but as of lately more and more imports are beginning to use the adjustable clutches and with his background on Pro Mods hes certainly the one for the job. He has also a 2jz car running pretty good in the island with his clutch setups.
There are more people involved but that's the ones in charge of the main jobs on the car.

Ok I just did a hp calulation online using the weight and the mph and it came up to 1923.23 hp. Now thats if the car really weighs 2290 and I don't no if that number is measured at the wheels or not, wat u guys think?
