Moroso Pics - Congrats to Ken Scheepers and Dee!!!

We just got back from the 1st NHRA event at Moroso in South Florida. It was a blast. It was nice to leave the cold NE for some Florida sun. Thursday and Friday was spent all over Miami, Sat and Sun racing, and Monday at the beach and jet skiing. Crispeed had a busy schedule for the weekend and made time for us. We were able to check out the shop and it was loaded with all the rotary toys, gforce trannies here, pport housings there, thanks Crispeed for letting us invade the shop! We gotta thank Dee for his hospitality, we hung out with Dee and the crew all weekend. Congrats to Dee for building a modified car from scratch in 5 months and making it down the track! Can't wait to see what the car does in Virginia. In the end it was Ken Scheepers that took 1st place in the modified class and I'm sure everyone knows how much he has been through. It was a great win for him, the crowd went wild!!! Congrats Ken!! Go here for all the pics... (Dee, Julian has all your pics, he will upload them in a few)

Below is a preview...

This launch was just crazy! This was my fav pic of the event.

Ken starts pulling away...

7.60!

Dee, Tito, the crew and the entire crowd go wild! Something happened before this run that made the entire crowed boo Efantis so when Ken sent him home, everyone went wild!!!!!!

Still going crazy...

Burning out....

Another Launch - this one for 1st place in the modified class!!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To say we had fun in FL for this event is an understatement. Had a blast being down there with AnthonyNYC, Julian from NYCE1s, SpeedNYC, Ravi, Larry Hoe, Dee, Gary, Mike, Russ, Tito and the rest of the Reactive Crew, Ken Scheepers, Crispeed, Kenny from Super seals, and everyone else we hung out with talking rotary chat and making new friends, see you guys in VA.

Super! very well deserved. I had the chance to hang out and meet some of the boricuas on his crew at the Nopi races in TX. Great group of people. Keep it up. Nice pics of the rides and the chicas, thanks.

Moroso Pics -..

Did anyone catch the Red R100 that said Sanches on the doors ?..
For those that dont know these two brothers (owners of the car) Ran 8's with that same car in the mid 80's at Englishtown... Most people on this board were on bigwheels then.... They retired the car for a few years in the Bronx but are back to lay down the LAW!...
....There has been much anticipation my way on this car..

Absolutely, the same crew that went to Florida (me, rx794, speed_nyc, and a few friends) will be there. The good news in SRWD is that Julie no longer runs in the class and if Mark breaks the class is open to pretty much anyone. In moroso a 10sec supra won the SRWD class so if you have your car ready, it will be a lot of fun!!!

I wish I could have been there Saturday night but my eyes were not coperating.
Anyway it was really cool meeting all you guys finally and hanging out with Dee for a little. If everything goes ok we should be up there for the Pan Americans.
The best part of the weekend was when Ken took out 'cry baby' in the semi final.
Huge congrats to Ken Scheepers for his first win of the year. With his consistency there are many more wins going to happen for sure.

These guys have full time jobs. You would not believe how hard they work to manage families, mortgages, full time jobs and then making all the events of the NHRA series. It's crazy.
