That is one scary ride.... It gives a whole new meaning to unsafe

 

^ Do they race the car with the trans open like that or do they have a cover? Because if they do, that ups the level of unsafe.

I'm still trying to get past the problems listed below

Why hasn't ended up on it's roof because of major suspension unload during shifts
& why case hasn't exploded because of the gears expanding apart because it wasn't designed for this abuse

 

That is some real back yard build right there. Dont wanna get your coat sleeve caught in that yoke at 100MPH

 

Or better yet, when the u-joint explodes and takes your nuts through the roof.

 

That TII trans in that shot is the most impressive thing I have seen in a long time. Props!! And of course they don't race it open like that.

 

Yeah they really don't run uncovered. They took the cover off for proof of the transmission they are using.

 

I hope so nothing like a flywheel falling apart at 160mph and boucing around in the cockpit!

That was actually a nice straight smooth pass. What's the big deal?
Looks like he has a pin on his shifter to lockout 5th gear shifts. I'm also willing to bet there are many mods done internally to this trans. Totally awesome nontheless.

 

I think that is some sort of 5th Gear lockout for those of us too dumb to shift. lol.

 

Then I need one.
