Limiting front end travel in an FC?

Car runs great on the street. But once I get to the sticky track, I have carb issues. Running a 600DP holley. Installed jet extensions and used a hose to interconnect the 2 float vents. Car will still pick the nose up very quickly and causes carb issues. So the car bogs hard off the line. I spin a little on the street now and then the car hooks very well. But it dead hooks at the track.

Anyone limiting frond end travel on there rx-7's? What is the best way to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance!

I doubt that the lifting is the problem with your holley. There are cars that launch almost straight up and down running holleys with no problems. I'm not a Holley expert but I would imagine there are other things that are going on.

Any "wheels up" holley has been pretty heavily modified. They sure won't work off the shelf in that environment.

The jet extensions I installed were slip-on's and not very long. That could still be my problem. I ordered a notched rear float and jet extension kit. This may fix the problem. But I've heard of a few FC guys limiting the front end travel. For one it helps keep the wheels straight while launching. I believe crispeed suggested some sort of garage door wire to limit travel? But I can't seem to find the post.

Anyone else?

I think the float/jet upgrades will solve the problem. If you drive the car on the street you will not want to run limiting straps, unless you can make some that are removable. Get a Webber and solve all your problems.
