IDRC event result thread

Well, it was a good day for the rotaries! Eric Darby took home the trophy in the all motor class! Woowoo. Congrats to you sir. Took out one, if not the fastest Hondas out there- Bisi. Bisi was running 9.6-9.8 at 144mph all day long! Eric qualified second with a 10.6 at 125, might have been a 10.5? Steve qualified third with a low 11 second pass with tranny problems. In the final round against Eric, Bisi's clutch broke at the end of the 1/4 and nosed over and Eric beat him at the finish line by a very close margin. It was awesome! Sorry, I didn't get any vids of the final run because my camara battery was dead. So who ever has vids of the event please post them up. It was a great turnout for rotaries finally on the West coast and we represented! I managed to qualify in the AM class because there were only 7 entries. I was having problems with my fuel pressure regulator and was off my usual 8th mile times by .2 and 2 mph, but managed my best ET of 12.54 at 106mph. I had a great time and I am pretty sure the next event there will be many more rotaries. It was nice hanging and meeting everyone and hope you all show up at the next event. My camara had very little battery life left so I gave strict instructions for the old lady to only video my runs, so sorry guys I don't have any vids of any other runs. I think my dad may have some if not Albert, and I know a few others took some vid so please post them up. Here's a couple of runs of my *******. In the second run I carried the front wheels for a pretty good distance.

Thanks Ito. I think I can squeeze a few tenths out of this motor, but if I want to compete in this class I know what I gotta do........ Save a load of money! hehe.

Thanks Joe, you should have came out. Rene, Albert, Jose'ssss, and Robert and a host of other rotorholics that I forgot all their names- sorry. After talking to everyone it seems like there were quite a few people that got the eye of the tiger back in their eyes and I got a feeling their will be quite a few more all motor cars in the next event. And not just in the all motor class but several turbo cars as well like Chris's duece and James' and several others. Looks like you're going to have to dust your box off and come out and play. You wanta know whats scary though, Bisi and his all motor Honda running mid 9's at 145mph. He was faster than I think most if not all the turbo cars running yesterday as well. Oh well, we can rely on those Honda's breaking an axle or something.

yeah it was cool yesterday and a bunch of old schoolers there just getting warmed up......
I had planed on going but due to time and work i did not finish my engine on time.

Erick did a good job running consistent mid 10s,and thats racing when you want your opponent to break and take the win.Race is race and the rotary came out this weekend.

i have a good video of the final race with bisi and erick at the end of the track.I will post up
the video tomorrow.Erick just got him by like 50ft or so,good race.

Thumbs up Event Video from IDRC

Sorry I am not available to put the Videos online until later this week. I do have every All Motor pass from the beginning of the event to the final.

Congratulations Eric on a well deserved WIN against one of the best.

Big p-ports or small p-ports it really does not matter. You at least made it to the track.

Rene, Robert, James, Aurelio, Jarret, Steve, Neal and Jose AKA 510boy all have our work cut out for us.

This event was good but the next one should be much more exciting. Hopefully we will all finish up our cars and go have some fun. I can honestly say I had a good time on Saturday and hope to see all the local rotor heads out at the next event supporting the local racers.

Thanks
Albert
