just wondering, but if your previous car ran low 11's, why didnt you keep that? or sinse you already had an rx7 that ran 11's, just make the same mods to this one.

11's and 450hp are standards for single 7's, 20b's, and LS1's

blah blah blah

The stock fuel system will support 400rwhp, but I personally would do it there's no room for errors.

With a modded suspension and tires 350 rwhp will put you in the 11's.
With street tires you can get into the mid to low 12's

There are many factors, I've a 450rwhp 350Z that could only manage high 12's.

Wow...Talk about bringing back a thread from the dead...I originally posted the 11 second question almost 3 years ago.

Now the goal is 10.XX with less than 400rwhp.

My friend's FD wih 396whp@18psi stock non seq turbos, ran 11.8 with 1.7 60ft with hoosier drag radials. Pass could have been better, cuz car was cutting due to low fuel in the tank. i think he could have ran 11.6 or 11.5.

He also ran 12.1 with 1.6 60ft with nitto 555r tires. He had 370whp@17 psi.

keep in mind all the cars list like boosted7 and others know how to drive. Seat time is a big player. A stock twin, stock motor with bolt ons can go 11's if the driver is good and all the supporting mods are there BUT they usually are not. I have scene 700rwhp supras go high 12's to 13 and 600rwhp ones go low 10's.

I would say with an average driver cutting 1.7's 60's you are going to need 340-350rwhp to crack 11.9's...in a FD

i think those whp numbers are in reality lower given his times. any idea what he was trapping? were u there when he dynoed?

u only need 320-330 to get 11s with a good driver and good sixty ft time.

This thread will never die Since i first posted the question back in 03 i have made probably 350 to 400 passes with at least 325 of them being in the 11's.

I made a 11.7 pass back in 04 on stock twins/ stock ports and the car was making less than 320rwhp. I think the last dyno was 317rwhp. I still have that time slip
My last 2 single turbo 7's have both made a little over 400rwhp and the best time has been 11.1.

My current RX7 project will probably make a around 425rwhp and it better run 10's.

On stock twins I made 353rwhp and ran 11.60's on drag radials.

The good ol days!!!

Knowing what I know now, I should have been happy with the 11.1 and stayed with the stock twins lol.
