Help me get into the 12's

So first time at the 1/4 mile in 5 years, and first time with my turbo and I had some mixed results. My best time wasa 13.58@105mph in which I burn 1st gear and passed the traps bouncing of the rev limiter at 8500 rpm (S4 internals) in 3rd. If I shift into 4th my time goes up. I think I have 12 second car and a 14 second driver

Any tips to launching a 2nd gen with a turbo (to4e 57 trim)? I try to hold 5000 rpm and slip the clutch, but I either burn or bogg

Should I shift into 4th or keep bounce of rev limiter in 3rd through the tree? (s4 TII trany and rear end)

FYI I'm on street tires

Hears my slip

.2051 reaction
2.1498 60 ft
5.9349 330 ft
8.9588sec@82.89mph 1/8th
11.4748@97.82 1000ft
13.5839@105.34mph

Thanks for the help!

Just put on some drag radials or slicks and you should be able to hit the 12's. It would help to tell us what your setup is on your car.

My setup

Engine 13bt ported 8.5 rotors, atkins 2mm apex seals, 3 window bearings
Four barrel intake, 750 cfm auto-nomics throttle body, 6X550 cc injectors, FMIC 2.5inch piping.
HKS TO4E-57 trim 1 A/R turbine HKS log manifold, 40mm wastegate, and down pipe (3 inch), Borla mufflers
Haltech E6X running wategate controller (seem to hit a wall at about 13.5 psi)
Innovate wide band

I have a wet nitrous kit installed just not running it yet. Would like a dyno tune first. Didn't think I would need it unless I had a bigger turbo that needed to be spooled.

I really think it's me not the tires, and running slicks with an independant rear seems like opening a barrel of monkeys. It's a street car and I don't want to dedicate the suspension to a drag racing setup.

Anybody run a 12's in a 2nd gen TII? What gear and launch rpm do you use?

Just get the et bias street tires and put some skinnies in the front and you will be hitting 12,s and they are easier on your suspension than your street tires!
I had a junker n/a with a 85 shot nozz with et's and ran 13.01 at 106mph all day long. I would not use nazz on your car with a port and turbo unless you are skilled!

also I have had better results reving up rather than trying to hold a certain rpm at launch. I also suggest some et streets .
