gas filled piping

OK. Im sure this is a STUPID idea, but Im starting to get bored, and Im trying to think of ways to cool the the air.
I rough idea:
A pipe, in another pipe. Now between these pipes, nitrogen, or another cool gas that can be sprayed between the 2 pipes when the air temps might bet a little high. Maybe it comes on automatically when the car is only in boost? Or at a certain RPM? Something like that. Something to help the intercooler out. Since a lot of us cant run a liquid to air setup on the street. Or just wanna run air to air on the track.
Try not to bash me too much. This is what I do at night when I have nothing better to do!

Any opinions on this? Its an honest question, stupid or not. I care about keeping things cool!

DEI made something like what you are explaining, its a C02 bulb that sits in the intake and is supposed to cool down the charge.

I just dont think that a cold piece of metal (or pipe for that matter) has the heat transfer necessary to make a big difference.

Yeah, I was kinda thinking it would be one of those deals where Id spend thousands of bucks and id get what? a couple degrees cooler charge temps. lol
Ill wait until someone invents something the will really cool the air, and sell the piping for cheap. lol
Im sure it can be done. Something like, intercoolers built into the piping. lol
