Full drag rear suspension ..Rear coil setup..
Whats up guys.
Well this forum has always been a good source to gather info, so i will now post all related info on setting up a nice beafy rear for those looking to go straight and fast!!!!
I plan to run this car in the very competative full body league so keeping that in mind i decided to use as much of the unibody as i can, not cutting much & most inportant NO tubs. .
Final goal (With the help of the all powerfull) is a 1.25 60FT time with 8.5 inch tires and lhigh 8's !!
Strange coilovers are being used since i have to move the upper mount in a few inches in the pathway of the spring pad.
I am also planning to use as much OEM stuff that i have lying around.
NO mommy and daddy big $$$ spenders here..!!!
I am starting with a clean 1979..
i am using a 1985 toyota 4x4 rear which is 55" WMS-WMS..2.5inches shorter that stock. 30 spline axles, 8" ring gear.
Redrilled axles to fit 1986 rx7 4lug disk and calipers.
Home made caliper bracket.
Strange coil overs in the oem shock location.
The oem 4 link bar modified
Datsun 280ZX 14x6 wheels on 225/60/14 tires.
Similar wheels 14X8 with M/T 26x8.5/14 slicks
So here are the basics..
Now lets do it.
Jesus is the light of the world!!!!!
