Finally got some seat time in the RX-3.
Finally got to make a few passes in the RX-3. Nothing spectacular. I ran into a few boost control issues so i was only running 10PSI. The car ran a 11.26@118.92. I also found out that it weighs 2410LB with me in it. If i can get the boost controller to work right it should run 10s on pump no problem. That thing is hella fun to drive too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bitchen. So awesome to see you finally out playing with that thing. How was the chassis? Predictable?

Thanks. It still amazes me that with a little work it could run 10s on pump gas.
The first few passes i was so nervous i don't really remember much but by the time i got to about the 4th or 5th pass i was having a blast. My favorite part was when i was doing the burnout the starter kept looking under the car at the flames from the wastegates and then when i two steeped the car he put his arm up in front of his face to shield himself from possible flying parts.
I set the wastegate up like the thread said (more or less) The PID settings were 50%, 50%, 0% and i had the target boost set to 14.5. I did not know where to set the start duty cycle so i tried 20% and 5%. It would shoot past the target boost and hit the boost cut at 18PSI. I need to get it on a dyno to set it up, i think that is one of the things that is going to help the car a lot and i need to get it working right.
It felt soo good to get out there and absolutely pound on her. I had a few people that took some video of the car launching but i have not been able to watch it yet. I will tell you that the car hooked and launched flawlessly. On one pass i two stepped it at 10k and my buddy told me that it hung the wheels about a foot in the air. It went soo smooth and straight i couldn't even tell. It was very predictable and the only thing it did that was even remotly weird was on one pass i ran the tire pressure down to 12PSI and it felt a little squishy about the eighth mile.
Oh and Chris, 5th gear burnouts are a piece of cake. I put it on the two step and when the boost gauge stopped moving i side stepped it. They said that the tires went from 12.5" to 6" in half a second and after 2 seconds you couldn't even see the tail lights.
Thanks to everyone for their help and i will post pics and vid as i get it.

I didn't hold it on the two step long enough to build boost so it bogged badly off the line. I will get some more vids next time.
Thanks again Marcello!!!
Thanks Josh and Lee. That car has been a blast so far, more so than i ever imagined. I cant wait till i start upping the boost!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a confession to make. I finally got my laptop working and turns out that it was only making 8PSI. Not bad for an unported motor. I think that the way it sits right now with a little better driving that it could run high 10s. I was shifting the car way too late because i never saw the shift light, turns out it was just out of my field of vision with the helmet on. The last pass i ran i ended up bumping the 10k rev limit, when i looked up the light was on bright. I watched the light through the rest of the pass and ran the quickest pass yet. I think i am going to get the boost controller working (if i slow down and read Chris's posts) and try it again the week after the next. Thanks for the complements Judge Ito, i had some great teachers.
I am running an 8 3/4 Chrysler hondahater and thanks.
Thank you Chuck. I cant wait till you get back into the stated so we can put on a show. You, me, Lee, and Guy all need to ascend onto the track and show them how it is done, you might have to drive for me though.

Low 11s on low boost is AWESOME. Quick question, is your car a 3/4 chassis?
