What is the correct rim backspacing for an FD running a Weld Pro Star 15 x 8? ErnieT posted 7 1/4" backspacing, and Dan Schechter posted 5 1/2" backspacing. So which one is it??? I'm looking into ordering them this week but don't know which backspace to order.

I run 5.5" bs, but you have to add a 1/2" spacer to clear the caliper and toe link bolt. I don't know about a 7 1/4" bs, but it seems to work for Ernie. I don't think it would work for my setup. I would think the wheels would hit the trailing links, and not fitting, but I could be wrong. Personally, I haven't tried it. If you have any questions, let me know.

I just ordered my Pro Stars from Welds but they are on back order. I was told that they were being bought off by another company but will continue producing the wheels, so be patient guys.

Custom Wheels FD/FC
Hey guys,another option would be Holeshot wheels,they are custom made to any backspacing and have 5 different styles,they are 3 piece design and I personally use them on my street car and my race car.They cost more than the regular Welds but are lighter and can be upgraded very easily.Here is a pic of a couple of them sorry about the big pics:

Man those are some nice wheels but I dont know what it is about the WELD's that just look bitching. It doesn't matter what kind of car it is.

I can't believe these rims grew on me. I mean, I want to rock them on daily street riding , not just for the track. Yo anthony Tom's 20B IS CRAZY!!!!!!!! He lives by me and all I hear is what sounds like godzilla on crack roaming the streets! HA HA
