FD spare tire

hi
I saw some mazda cars using the front spare tire wheel for drag racing.

what type of tire they use?

this type of wheels are safe?

Enkei is the manufacturer, I’ve seen people run them but I personally wouldn’t do it. I don’t know of any data out there on them, so I guess it’s a personal choice. I don’t see how with proper front tires how they could be bad.

Someone was selling a pair of the spare rims with motorcycle tires a while go to run as skinnys up front. I've been pondering the idea.

I raced with this setup for 2 years. Search my name you find the tire size. FYI I got nothing from running this setup. It was a PITA changing tires all the time as well.

I am working with Rich Bogart to see what he can do to provide a wheel that works with skinnies without all the spacers and grinding. Motorcycle tires dont have load rating. My supra and corvette friends use coker antique tires 17's there ugly. Will let everyone know the outcome on the wheels. Hey zinks how are you.
