drag tire fitment

Hey just by chance, has anyone fitted a 26x11.5-16 ET Street on a stock FD rim before? I've been having a bitch of a time finding some 10.5's, and if I go new local, I'll be paying through the nose ($700 a pair!)

So, I've got some stock 8" FD rims and someone local-ish with some nearly new 26x11.5-16 ET Streets which have around a 9.4" tread width for $200.

Are these suckers gonna fit these rims?

10.5 is what I use but I have heard of a few running 11.5's.

sweet, thanks man. I was originally gonna run the 10.5's on my stock 7" FC wheels, so I guess this is no different. It's just actually going to be cheaper, including the cost of spacers and fd wheels.

oh and completely random, I just checked out your 6.89 run on your sig, the guy filming sounds exactly like Dale off King of the Hill! Love to see your car on the 1/4 running 10.6's though!

Thanks busted. If they bog it just means I need to step it up with a new turbo! I'm going to be running a 35r compressor wheel for this season, I'd like to knock on 500whp's door, but we'll see. And I imagine running a two-step will help make use of the extra traction off the line.

Thanks, I have a new tranny and clutch to go in before I go back out. If you listen to the video it sounds like 3 shifts but I hit rev limit out of the hole along with clutch slipping thru top of third.. Not sure what it will do on a clean run.. Goal is a 6.5-6.6 in 1/8th. Since the 1/8th track is 2 miles from my house may be awhile before I get to the 1320..
