Doug Nash 4/5spd racing gearbox

so anyone know where or who can do gear sets or complete 5 speed conversions on these things , or if its possible at all .
Looking at a friends box, its a 5 speed, but its been converted to run two 4th gears, or two 1/1 ratios, was some rule or **** from a US pro stock class that had to run 4 speed boxes ,
So if i buy it am i stuck with a pink elephant that can only be a 4 speeder, or can i do a gearset change through some company that i for the hell of it cannot google it

Call Richmondgear.com, they make & service DN gearboxes

btw, those trannys were used on rotaries since Jesus was a baby. Bell housing adapters & everything else is still available

Liberty's gear did mine and they can do just about anything you want to them. I also have another contact for parts if you just want the stuff shipped to your door. I may be wrong but i don't think you could possibly have two 1:1 gears.

yeh the two top gears were unny for the dude who got ot try it out, if you can imagine he hit 4th then hit fifth gear only to continue along with the same revs as he last had .
Was told you would have to replace the whole mainshaft go convert it back to a 5 speed box, and the cost would be too great to be worthwhile .
aH someone has bought it and now its their problem

ok since that cheapy box is out of the picture, anyone know of websites that i can search for prices and different combos for a g force box or liberty box, may as well save my coin for the right box the first time , and all the web searches i come across are usually v8 forums , stuffed if i can find prices for these boxes, apart from liberty, at least they put a cost on their own website

Best bet is to go straight to each of the websites- Gforce- liberty- jerico. They have prices and if not you can fill out a spec sheet on your car and needs and they will get back to you. Plan on spending a small fortune. Good luck
