compressure surge
i have a turbonetics 60-1 turbo, p trim wheel,.96 exhaust housing.i hade performance techniques out of san bernardino install a 72mm compressor wheel.i have not experienced a compressor surge until the tune up was close.i called the turbo shop and he recomended we open the compressor housing a touch.has anyone ran into this problem?if so what were your remedies?
What RPM is it happening at? What conditions does it happen at? I have never heard of anyone having surge issues on a rotary because they tend to start making boost at higher RPMs.
compressor surge
it only does it in high gear about 6500 rpm on up.it makes full boost at about 4000 rpm.some one at the track this week end had said it could be were i am picking up my boost signal.i take the signal from the top intake manifold just above the lower intake at the 90 degree bend. i have not data logged my map sensor to see if the map signal shows this condition
