Boostn7(JD) FD having some fun with njstreetrx7(Rilwan)'s new Supra videos...

These are 6 videos of some pulls between Boostn7(JD) and njstreetrx7(Rilwan)'s Supra. In some cases they did reach over 150mph+ on some of these pulls. Both of them are on pump 93 octane. You can tell that traction was an issue for both of them, hehe. These runs were all in fun. Better luck next time Rilwan.

DISCLAIMER: ALL OF THE HIGHWAY SIGNS YOU SEE IN THESE VIDEOS WERE PUT THERE BY SPECIAL EFFECTS, we would in no way condone racing on public highways,

Video shot from the side while they raced by: http://www.rx7s.com/rx794/JD_Boostn7_Vids/014.wmv

Video from the back of Boostn7's car: http://www.rx7s.com/rx794/JD_Boostn7...U%20Supra7.wmv

You can hear Boostn7 hit the rev limiter between shifts on this one:
http://www.rx7s.com/rx794/JD_Boostn7...u%20supra8.wmv

You can see the top end pull of the FD on this one even though njstreetrx7 takes a jump on this one:
http://www.rx7s.com/rx794/JD_Boostn7...u%20supra9.wmv

In this video on the second pull you can clearly see the traction limits, as soon as the car gains traction it takes off like a rocketship:
http://www.rx7s.com/rx794/JD_Boostn7...%20supra10.wmv

Last one, same outcome: http://www.rx7s.com/rx794/JD_Boostn7...%20supra11.wmv

Thanks to AnthonyNYC for hosting these for everyone.

I had 3 seperate people try them, they work for everyone else, try it again.

Only the last video I posted isn't working, I couldn't edit it on time. The last one is here:

Last one, same outcome: http://www.rx7s.com/rx794/JD_Boostn7...%20Supra11.wmv

You can stream them sometimes, it's just that the server isn't that fast at times.

This is why you don't mess with JD. 15 years ago he was going 10's in a street driven white turbo II with a stand alone.

Damn Ron, I thought JD taught you last yr what a FD will do to a supra. You gotta spend alot of $$$$$ to make those tanks run hard. lol

Nice videos! I wish it were the same down here. There are a few supras running around (street cars) that are crazy fast. I have scene them all run and they out of my class! from what I know 2 of them have stock bottom ends and run similar sized turbos (P67's). But they all run th400's. Last weekend 2 were running in the 6's in the 1/8th. One made a 6.2 pass at 114mph! The other was 6.7's. Another driven by Gary White (driver for Titian Scion) runs low 6's and has made a high 5 pass. In the end Supras are no joke if put together right!

wan and jd went at it a gain week later both on same drag radials. from digs and rolls the races were amazing to see. EVEN THOUGH RX7 KEPT WINING TOP END!...LOL

the supra would easily get 3-4 cars ahead then the rx7 would start pulling hard at about 130+ easily 5+ cars then they would shut down. 1 or 2 times both cars would be neck an neck. the supra is more low/mid car the rx7 has more top end.

he supra dynoed 440whp/430 torque/20 psi
the rx7????/17-18 psi

more vids to come!
Yes, RX7 rides on Nittos drag radials all year round and traction was an issue for both, the RX7 simply did a better job at pedaling the gas :-)
Don't forget 3rd and 4th gear pulls(NO traction issues!) the Supra would always get the jump and that damn RX7 would always zoom-zoom by......hahahaha

Both on drag radials, Supra took the first 2 wins because the RX7 screw'd up, BUT for the remaining of the night the RX7 had the launches and shifts on the money and took care of the Supra pretty much on every pull from a dig or a roll.

Supras are defenitely no joke. They not only sound crazy but their hp limits are only limited by the owners wallet or bank account.

Rilwan better not call me out again unless he has a bottle or a single turbo :-)

All in fun between friends....

Aint it the truth: those peskie supras.
I get to drive a friends stroked gt-4788 running on corn when hes tunning and its nothing like my rx7. on race gas it puts down 1200 h/p. I get him in the 1/4 but hes smokeing the tires in 4th gear.

Good runs!

supra was starting from 2nd gear/rx7 3rd gear. and rx7 would catch him towards end of supra's 4th gear ABOUT 130+mph

i think the supra is very like the rx-7 in many aspects. both are easy to make power for the price. hence wan's supra only has intake, exhaust and intercooler < stock twins. turbo kit prices are the same. about 3-4k could get you a nice set up. using turbo kit like a 67 will net you 500 plus on pump.

jon i heard wan has some secret plans for the WHITE FD........LOL

ill be waiting to see them good luck to you guys!
Hehe.......you need to stop smoking that ****!
Both on Nittos drags, the supra took the 1st win due to the rx7 misfiring at higher rpm and yet it still reeled him in. After the spark plug change the Supra won again since the rx7 missed every gear, after that the Supra lost every round from a dig or a roll.
If in doubt we could do it again w/ video :-)
This time camera on the Supra facing forward :-)

You remember the T67 powered Supra I raced, right ?

like i said first 3-4 runs supra got you ( im talking dig only, your plugs went bad on first highway pull not dig) for whatever reason. not saying the supra is faster.

hmmm jon missing gears all a sudden?...lol
Hahahahaha.......have it your way, glad everyone else saw it differently.

Either way we all had fun and we'll do it again.

Not really missing gears, when power shifting I got my clutch and shifting coordination off and ended with lots of grinding of gears.
