Billet FD throttle body?

This is my latest experiment......just off the CNC machine from my branch shop.
This throttle body is 90mm,billet aluminum with sealed bearings and its been design to fit the stock FD intake manifold plus on the cosmo 13B and 3 Rotor 20B.I was tired of not finding the right throttle body to replace the stock one so i took it into my hands and came out with this.

I had a vision of making a bolt on throttle body and came up with this style.Yes it
is also COPYRIGHT,took many hours on designing this piece and setting up the CNC
Machine with the right tools.

I might even consider making a Turbo 2 throttle body hmmmmm what you think.

We are going Racing this thursday night........we replaced the stock FD with Machine
blades to my 90mm single TB and got better quicker throttle response.

Very nice looking! I looked at the video but it seems the car had a hard time idling. How does it idle with this throttle body?

If you were to sell these, how much would they go for roughly?

Thanks.

dont bother making one for a TII though. most will say they want it, and then dissapear when its time to pay up...typical FC owner stuff.

Do you have any flow number comparisons from stock, stock ported and this throttle body? That is a pretty nice piece.

Looks great! Can't wait to see some stats. I should already know this, but what is the size of the stock throttle body if you total them up?

I just did some quick calculations. I think the stock ones are 45 mm x 3, so total area of 4770 mm^2 (anyone back up that number? I got it off some other post). A 90 mm has a total area of 6360 mm^2, this one would be 33% larger than stock.

You also got to factor in all the runners that are no longer there, so that would add more volume.

Thanks everyone ,i think its a winner.Well on that video we just put the throttle body with no tune.....yes the idle was a liittle rought at first but just needed to adjust the TPS Calibration and play with the idle screw.....we just couldn't wait for the the revs LOL.

Yes you are right it flows more that stock when you do the math and it does have more flow, if you Knife edge the 3 runners on the stock manifold, flow will be way smoother and quicker response. Some people i have seen cut out the whole inside of the plenum to to equalize all the runners.

I have used hollow plenums with large 90mm before and the result was quick drop in vaccum pressure to Boost. There are so many combinations out there that people have to figure out for what they want to use it for.Drag, road racing, street etc....

If i personally use it on street i will use a stock plenum with knife edge runners so your vacuum signal would be more stable for daily street use.Well on the other hand if i had a
bad *** combo for high power then i would go all out and hollow the plenum ......

For this quick test on thursday we will be using a stock plenum with stock inner runners uncut. These throttle bodies are design for hard boost, very solid design.

The Greddy elbow will bolt on with no problem.......
