We have access to a crimper at our local NAPA store. It is a V block with a punch like device made into it, you just smack the **** out of it with a hammer.

On the cable in my car i crimped with a hydraulic hose crimper

M.I.C.K.E.Y.M.O.U.S.E Thanks for the input and honesty but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night thinking that my battery cable I just smashed with a screwdriver may come loose and short out causing my car to go up in flames and then my house and me and my family.

Thanks, I think that's what I am going to do. Buy two cheap harbor freight cutters and modify them.

Thanks everyone.

Ok here is the solution for all you tight asses. And these days, aren't we all.

I went to harborfreight and bought one 24" cablecutter- $10.99.
got my die grinder with a egg shaped bit and put the cable cutter in a vise with the jaws open. I then slowly closed the jaws on the bit while running to make an even cut on both sides to the correct size that you want. That's it. Instead of buying a $85+ bucks all you need is 11 bucks. Here are some pics.
