Battery cable crimper??
Need help. What tool are you guys using to crimp large battery cable eyelets on the 1 guage wire? I can't find any tool anywhere for this?
Thanks
Thanks
We have access to a crimper at our local NAPA store. It is a V block with a punch like device made into it, you just smack the **** out of it with a hammer.

On the cable in my car i crimped with a hydraulic hose crimper

Thanks for the input and honesty but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night thinking that my battery cable I just smashed with a screwdriver may come loose and short out causing my car to go up in flames and then my house and me and my family.

Ok here is the solution for all you tight asses. And these days, aren't we all.
I went to harborfreight and bought one 24" cablecutter- $10.99.
got my die grinder with a egg shaped bit and put the cable cutter in a vise with the jaws open. I then slowly closed the jaws on the bit while running to make an even cut on both sides to the correct size that you want. That's it. Instead of buying a $85+ bucks all you need is 11 bucks. Here are some pics.
