Anyone run a 28" tall tire?

I just ordered a new set of the M/T et drags for the 7 and wondered if anyone else has tried 28's. I have them on my Mustang and test fit them on the 7 with pretty good results. I'm using overfenders so the inside body is cut out which is perfect to allow the bigger meats. If there is someone i'd like to see some pics as to what it looks like.

I'm waiting for the new tires so i can mount them on my Bogarts with the right offset.

Here's what they look like on my Mustang.....same exact tire i'm running.

I havn't seen them work in a stock wheel well that good. They usually will rub bad during a launch, but its always worth a shot. In Nopi turbo 4 class, you have to run a 26" tire this year.

I didn't know that. I guess i'll have to double check on all the rules. I have a couple sets of Bogarts so i'll have 26's and 28's. Can't hurt to try both.

With the Bogarts, did you have grind the caliper and toe link nut to get it to clear or did it bolt right up? If it bolts right up, how do I get a set?!

You're exactly right about the problems but we made some spacers to make it work. We cut the spacer off the back of the Bogart and then fabbed up some to move it out. I've got overfenders so i wanted the wheel to fit flush with the outside. It came out pretty nice if i do say so myself. I'll put some pics up as soon as the new tires come in. Also, i've got Aerospace brakes on it which helps quite a bit with fitment.

28"X9" MT on my ride

I run a set of Mickey Thompson ET Drags on my 7 and it launches really well. On my stock suspended 7 is does consistent low 1.3 60' times. But fitting the tire in the stock wheel well is a big problem. Stick with the 26" X 8.5" or go to a Goodyear 26" X 9".
