7.77 @ 94 1/8 mile

I built this car primarily as a road course/autox car, but I decided to have a little fun on the strip as well. So I went to the track on Friday. My goal was to hit 7's. I ran an 8.06 first pass, 8.000@92 second pass and the next 3 or 4 passes were garbage. I added 1/2 degree of timing in boost and got the 7.77 along with a few extra mph. lol

I was in the left lane. I need to figure out my short time. I'm thinking a flow control valve and heating up the tires more. (I can't deactivate launch control to be able to spin the tires in 2nd. )

Quick mod list:
S5 T2 HBP irons by BDC
S4 NA rotors
Greddy 20g turbo kit
ebay intercooler
550/1680cc injectors
255/50/16 MT ET drag radials at 15psi
12 lbs of boost.

Pic of the car, I have stock wheels on the front for now, and lost the wing.

Good job! Just think if you tossed in more timing!

1/2 tank of 91, 1/2 tank of 93.

I tried that, only ran one run after my best, and that was 7.87@ 93 with another 1/2 degree added, so IDK if it'd do much good.

What are you running for tranny fluid? My tranny doesn't much seem to like 8k rpm 1-2 shifting anymore. May have had something to do with the 10k shifts I was doing when it was NA.

Bad news, I lost an apex seal on the dyno. Still made 285hp/230tq

So, more than likely I'll be abandoning the rotary.

How much does your car weigh? I'm guess its pretty light to have made a 7.7 with only 285hp...def less than 2500lbs.

My guess is about 2400. The seal blew early in the dyno pull, so the 285 was with a blown motor.
