2009 Racing Season - Are you ready?

Are you guys ready?

Did you get all done that you wanted to?

What's left?

Just curious.........

All I did was install axles over the winter break...

I still have to swap turbo, make a downpipe, redo intercooler piping, add the GZ lower manifold, add 2 more injectors, change throttle body and tune on 6 injectors for e85....For some reason I always think by the time Feb rolls around I will be all ready.

Well, the **** kinda hit the fan after i got back from Florida. My wife got laid off and i got promoted to manager. Between me working my *** off just to make ends meet and my wife looking for work there has been no time for my car On top of all of that i may be moving to PA for work. I would only be there for about a year but i wouldn't be able to take my car with me On a lighter note, if i move to PA i will be able to go to the Pan Ams!!!!! This **** is killing me. I have all that power on tap but cant use it, i have not even tried the two step on Methanol yet

So whats everyones goals?

Me.. want to see my first 10sec pass.. I should have enough power to go deep into the 10's but we all know how that goes..LOL...

Well there's not much of a race season here on the West coast so it's just local 1/8th mile test and tune and an occasional 1/4 mile test and tune. I just have to get my brake lines made and then I'm ready to hit the track again. My goal is to hit the 7's in the 8th. My budget is really tight this year so not much as far as upgrades this year.

Allen, sorry to hear about your wife being laid off, but congrats on the promotion. 1 in every 10 people have been laid off in the USA, so those that have jobs right now, be grateful. This is going to be one rollercoaster ride of a year, so hang on tight!

the rx7 is coming up for sale after this year . I have to refresh the motor due to low compression , maybe run one psca event or whatever cali has to offer .

2009, the year of "belt tightening" for me

Plans are to sell my Rx2, bring my Rx3 indoors and get it on the body dolly so I can finish blasting it. Probably paint it by fall if Obama the great does his majic

Other plans are to remove the 20b from my Rx7, probably throw it on Ebay. Take the money from that to finish cage & chassis. Dust off the boxes of parts that i was to lazy to install and finally install them. Power will come from somthing a little shorter this time around seeing that I have 2 REW's and other engine parts laying around

Buy a new camera, attend every event in NJ...maybe even FL if I we can arrange a road trip with the other guys..

Finally finish my online store, so I get make a little spare change to attend the tittie bars in Atlantic City.

You call 4 races at the end of the year, two of them which are over 9 hours away alot and local? I might be able to make Bakersfield and Fontana, but the other two are way too far from me. So a whopping two races? Trust me, you guys back East have it good. The only thing we got on you is warm weather and chicks wearing skirts 365 days a year. LOL

You tell em Enzo... The level of excitment & passion our guys have for this sport is second to non!! Imagine I don't get sleep the night before an event, Im scared that I miss my alarm .. I just lay there till Anthony sends his usual 4am "wake your *** up" text message

From the moment I leave my house at 6-7am, I start seeing cars on flatbeds from CT & NY On the NJ turnpike, almost every gas station or Wawa, there's a race car driver buying his ice & drinks. This year I wanna take a road trip to Florida, Im tired of flying alone to the race track. Hopefully we get a few guys and we all take a drive down to PBIR

Jay, you haven't see import racing untill you visit NJ or FL... What you guys got there is FWD heaven, but the east coast is where you see all the crazy RWD cars
