11sec pass

Hey guys..
Just wanted to share a video of my trip to the drag strip...My goal for the night was to run an 11 sec pass. the car is running an e85 single turbo half-bridge @ 10lbs of boost for this run...

This is the second pass I have ever made in this car and so happens to be my personal best... It has been a long road getting the car to this point and rather than me trying to go all out I was just there to have fun with it., plus I didn't feel like walking home that night, lol. Ill try and head back out to try my luck on 17lbs and then 23lbs The time slip break down is on the video...

I was off to the left, I blame the first pass jitters...

Thanks! What tires are you running? Seems like you need some traction... Im running a set of et streets and it makes launching a lot easier.

Hows the e85 working out for you?

Well im using Drag Radials NT555, best 60 was 1.7. I need to get some et steets.

E85 is the way to go specially with a Flex Fuel Sensor.

here is my 11.9

So far my best run was an 11.2 @127 18psi and race fuel (116 octane) on a Half Bridge.

My previous best was 11.3@118 24psi on a streetport.

I am now setting it up for E85 and going back to a streetport, don't like the drivability with the Half Bridge, just to jittery on the city streets....

Ill post a pic of the time slip later,

Not sure on the power BUT would guess mid to high 400's

I tuned for 27lbs on C116 and made 550hp on a Mustang Dyno.... only thing I didn't run on high boost because I was 70 miles from home and didn't want to break an axle or diff... wanted to make it back home... I actually drive it to the track on ET Streets and skinnies up front...

I keep hearing how good E85 is..... Just the cost is worth it so I am excited to go on that corn diet..., I don't like paying $150 for half tank of race full.... Getting out of hand for me...

Depends on weight. My FC was making ~320 when I ran a 7.77@94 1/8 mile. (1.9 60' to boot)

yeah race fuel can get expensive.... it cost me $25 for 10 Gallons of e85 you cant beat that.... if I ever upgrade my manifold ill turn up the boost 25+ psi... I'm on an HKS cast. would like to change out the turbo and manifold if I cant get into the 10s with this setup...

are you in an FD or FC? your right there with me with those numbers, I'm 2mph faster in the 1/8 and 1/4... the things that play a factor is the weight of our cars and how hard you were driving your car... I was short shifting and only launched at 6k-6.5k rpm. there is a possibility that you could have "X" amount less HP and just had better driving skills and out drove me... I'm not sure if that makes since?..

^^ what injectors and pump setup are you going to use? Im running 2 750cc primary and 4 2000cc for secondary... with a 15 gal. fuel cell and two bosch pumps.
I changed to a fuel cell cause my tank was really dirty/rusty and it clogged up one of my pumps had to get a new one... I was using the CJ motorsport dual pump assembly.

FC, its originally NA so no power windows, no rear wiper, CF hood, no passenger seat.

Only launching at 6.5? I was pretty much maxing out my current setup at 6500 rpm.. Open diff would start to spin any higher. The one time it decided to hook I popped the rear diff. I drove the car pretty hard. aggressive shifting..

Car has T2 motor with FD rotating assembly
Megasquirt ECU
BNR Stage 3 hybrid turbo (externally wastegated)
RB 2.5in full exhaust
vmount intercooler setup
ID 1000 prim and secondaries
8 inch slicks on FD rims
rb lightweight steel flywheel
stock NA drivetrain
clutchmasters clutch

many other things that may or may not contribute

Currently running 1000 on primaries and 2000 on secondaries on a single Bosch. I will probably end up going to 4-2000cc injectors...

The new changes that are coming.
Streetported plates
Gato manifold
Cosmo intake manifolds
Dual Bosch on CJ hanger
Vmount setup
Battery relocation
3.5" DP and catback
Adaptronic ECU ( already installed )
E85

Hope these improvements will get me into the 10's. With the new Adaptronic and it's built in 2 step I am sure I can reach that goal.

BTW... All previous runs were with a PFC and launching around 4K-5K rpm's.... NO breakage that way... ahahahahaha
