will a full 3" exhaust kill my low end?

I have owned quite a few N/A RX7s and I feel the need to go turbo. I recently picked up an 87 Turbo II thats bone stock and I want to make it faster (of course).Ive always fabbed my own exhausts out of straight pipe and U-bends and was going to make a 3" pipe all the way from the turbo to whatever muffler I decide to use. My question is, will this kill some of the low end power? Honestly, low end has never been the most important aspect of any rotary, but I want a little something when I'm below 3000 rpm. Thanks

3" will be fine. Your low end will still be there.

the bigger the exhuast the more low end you will have becuase it will spool the turbo faster meaning boost sooner, just watch out for wastegate creep, you'll have plenty of it

Yeah, on my old 91 TII motor with the stock turbo my turbo would spool right up to 15 PSI almost instantly in 5th gear, even at 2500 RPM. I think the motor was ported before I had the car.

in 4th gear i can get 10psi on my gauge at around 1800rpm while cruising and then planting the foot to go up a hill, i THOUGH my motor was stock, turns out its been ported, a fair bit at that too.

It's nice to get something that you didn't expect.
