You guys should contact Mike Lowe from Lowe performance in Florida. He's been using autos for many years behind his 13b turbo rx-7 and presently runs one in his low 8 sec modified/pro-outlaw rx-7.

His contact #--> 941-924-8597

not tryin to change the thread,,, but dont the fastest FWD cars use a GM automatic, like ECOTEC engines cars. the guts look a lot like 700R4 -4L60E internals, but without using 4th gear, toggle switch shifted, and they are in the 1000hp area, 10,000rpm, I have a book showing how to build that tranny, maybe its not important seeing how its a GM product.
I cant see the forest because the trees are in the way!!

if you're serious about the JATCO tranny, you may want to check out the Supra guys. i'm not saying to try using Supra tranny, but i remember there was a company back in the late 90's that specialized in modifying stock automatic trannies in Japanese cars. they build the tranny for a monster Supra back then. someone in the Supra community might know of the car.

my problem is that i don't remember the name of the company and i'd have to sift through boxes of car magazines in orders to find it. the only thing i remember is that they were in Oregon. sorry ... but i hope you find it.

have no clue. i really can't remember the name of the company. as i alluded earlier it's been years since i came across it, and since i had no need to contact them, it didn't really stick (no pun intended).

Last I heard they do upgrades on rx-7 auto trannies. Expensive though.
