What size wastegate?

I was looking at BNR supercars and they have 3 different size tial wastegates, 35, 40, and 46mm. Which one would be good for me? Also is tial stuff any good? Thanks.

Oh and I found an HKS standard wastegate for $364. It says it has a 10psi spring, does that mean I couldn't run over 10psi? Thanks.

What size turbo are you running? If you're not running a BIG turbo then the tial 40mm should be more then enough. Tial is one of or if not the best wastegate IMHO. The 10psi spring means that you cannot run boost lower then 10psi.

Oh ok. Well I am not going to be running a big turbo yet. This will be for my upgraded stock turbo. So would the 35mm one be good enough? Do you know what the stock S4 wastegates are? Oh, and the HKS is out of the question for me then right?

The HKS wastgate would be fine also... If your ever planning on going with a bigger turb in the future your better off getting a 40mm or bigger wastgate, it'll save you $ in the long run...

Alright I would get the 40mm one then. Can you have too large of a wastegate? Thanks.

You can use any size wastegate you want, as long as your spring rate is for your application. Bigger = more $$$ and if it's not necessary then put that money towards other mods.

46mm, IMO the 40mm is too small.&nbsp I know people who have tried to run them and it ends up creeping at 7psi...

I am getting boost creep with my 60-1 turbo and I have a Tial 40mm. Everyone told me the 40 would be enough but I would go bigger if I had to do it again.
