What to launcch at with street tires?
My car dyno at 365wrhp at 15lbs of boost. I have a hard time getting any good ets at the track. On the street however, using the GTech I can pull mid 12's easily. I usually run the tires at 14psi at the track but have a very difficult time launching. At what rpm should I be launching and should i dump or ride the clutch? I was told a burnout is not neccesary when running street tires. I notice at 3500rpm dumping the clutch would cause the tires to spin out of control and then shifting into second would drop the rpm down to 2000rpm. What am I doing wrong.

oh yea and...
BTW if you are going to launch at MEGA RPM like 7000 and you start getting wheel hop, back down from the accelerator...last thing we need is you bustin your diff mounts (something to that effect)
I launch my non-sequential at 4500 and ride the clutch. My best 60' is 2.0 which is damn good for street tires. Oh, when you launch and spin, don't look at the tach for shifting. When you do, you'll bog in 2nd like you mentioned. Just keep in 1st till you get traction and feels like you've hit 30mph, then shift

Your wasting your time w/ street tires. Your not going to get a true and accurate 1/4 mile time. With 365rwhp, your car is good for a mid to high 11 sec pass. What you need is a set of drag radials. You can run them on the street too. They do fine, just wear out quicker. The best drag radial is the BFG, hands down, but if you drive in the rain much, get the Nitto drag radial.
BTW....Im non-sequential. With drag radials, I heat them up and launch at 5900rpm and ride it just a smidge. She's a beast. I get consistant 1.74 60' times.
