What fuel pump should I use

I'm putting a 13b (85) in my fb with Dellorto carbs and I was wondering what a good pump/pressure regulator setup would be? BTW money really isn't a problem, I want it done right, but dependability/durability is a major selling point for me

the Carter pump is the most reliable, and flows enough for your application

However, the flow is not steady and it's loud as Hell...Mallory, there is no substitute....well, maybe an Aeromotive if you've got serious $$$...

holley blue is 18 psi, so you will need to regulate it. FYI, the holley regulators come in 2 specs: below 7 psi and 5-9.

Yeah, I've been checking out all the posts on tuning and it sounds like 2.5 psi is the way to go. Any tips or tricks for tuning the dell?

tuning is going to depend on how much you already know about the carbie, and what your setup is. they are pretty easy to tune. just be patient with it.

check out www.gruntled.com or PM Rxcetera on this board ... he helped me get my Dell together a while back.

for parts check out CB Performance

I ran the Holly Super Blue pump with a Purilator regulator that Racing Beat recommended. Ran great.

The Holley stand alone regulator has worked well for me for many years.

For the street, I still think the Carter pump is best.
I have had a Mallory pump fail on me. I have had the built-in regulator on a Holley red pump fail on me.

The Holley blue pump is only needed for very high power race engines; it is an overkill for low power, low fuel flow requirments. I use a Holley blue pump on my PP race engine.

Cool thanx for all the info! I've got an inch thick stack of printouts to sort through so by the time I get done with all that I should have everything under control.
