What cat/ exaust should I get?

Ok, in about a month I am planning to completely re-vamp my exaust. Right now I am looking at the Racing Beat Cat-back system with 2 inch pipes and 3 inch tips. I am still looking for a good cat to use. If anyone can help with advice I would def. appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

What type of car / engine setup do you have? Any performance modifications being done or already in place?

I have a '91 n/a and have had three different cat systems on this car.

The first was a stock system that had been gutted out. This was done by a previous owner and I feel the punishment for this should be amputation of the hands. It gives almost 0 performance gain while trippling the exhaust tone in the car (even with stock cat-back).

The second system was the Catco system. It was by no stretch of the imagination a bolt up item as they advertise. It was light weight and looked great but this is not what you want in exahust for a rotary. It did not fit, the air supply line was out of place and was a royal pain to install. Then to top it off my car with a near perfect idle would get them glowing red in about 5 minutes of idling and it only got worse when revved.

I returned the catco cats and bought the slightly more expensive Bonez system from RX7.com. It was not as light weight and did not fit as good as I wanted but was MUCH MUCH better than the catco system and I was happy to pay more for it. And I have no glowing problems with them.

Figure out what type of engine setup, and to what extent, before you get the exhaust done or you will just have to re-do it.
