Under hood pressure or aerodynamics?

Ok heres a question for you gurus that know your underhood aerodynamics. I recently installed a vented hood, which by the way has lowered my underhood temps dramaticaly as well as coolant. Let me expain my setup a litte bit here too. I have the apexi fmic and a fluidyne radiator, so the radiator is behind the intercooler basically below the ducts on the hood. I am wondering if I put some sort of shield behind the radiator, say 3-6 inches depending on the angle of the radiator, so that when the fans blow the air is deflected off the shields and out the hood more effeciently, will this cause any negative effects? Maybe I have no clue what i'm talking about, but it sounds like a good way to help heat escape.
