Tilton Clutch

Does anyone know if the Tilton Clutch setup like the high HP Supra guys run comes in a version for the FD? It looks like a really crazy setup for someone that has high HP and wants some streetability without frying multiple clutches. Of course the version for the Supra is 4500 bucks!

you'll need a custom one, but it should be around the same price

There's no need for it for the FD. We don't put out the torque that the Supra's do. Ray Lochead has over 780rwhp and uses the ACT 6puck as does Demetrios and myself. Its all you need. And if you require something custom, ACT will build it at no additional charge.

You could use the street/strip clutch from ACT and use the extreme pressure plate with the organic disc, but if you race alot your better off putting up with the chatter of the 6puck.

I use the organic disk and while it's great on the street, it absolutely blows for the strip. And I'm only producing 340rwhp or so with the stock twins. Any slip really heats the clutch disk up and it'll burn up pretty quick. I plan on trying a segmented disk from Clutchmasters which utilizes a sprung hub design and ceramci/metalic friction materials. I think it's the stage III disk. I'd use it in conjunction with the ACT Extreme pressure plate.
