Is there any reason I SHOULDN'T use a 2JZGTE gearbox?

They never put a T56 behind a 305! A 3rd gen F-body would have a T5 in it.

Okey, which gearbox did you choose?? It been a while since the last post. I have bought me a 20B and should put it my S4. The 5speed Supra gearbox from the MK3 is not hard to find here in sweden! I'm looking out for 700-800hp on the shaft. That will be serious torque to handle for the gears. Does anybody have any pics or advise how I will get the Supra MK3-tranny to fit my 20B, and in the end, make all that fit in my FC??

Since when? It's every bit as strong internally as the Viper T56, it just has aluminum shift forks instead of steel and a slightly smaller output shaft. You can buy 300M chromemoly output shafts and have steel shift forks installed if it's that important to you. Talk to D&D Performance. http://www.ddperformance.com/
